Hayling Island

Stuart JONES from Datchet Water SC is the 2004 Contender National Champion - Jones previously won the title in 1997 and 2002, and won the World Championship in 1993 and 1998.
Jones held off the challenge of reigning Inland Champion, Tim HOLDEN, who missed the first day and needed to win races on the final day to overtake Jones. It was not to be, both were OCS in the first race and that finished Holdens challenge - neither sailed the final race.

Second place overall went to Gary LANGDOWN and only four points separated the next four competitors - Peter DIVES, Eastbourne SC, in third, Matt ASTON, Datchet Water SC fourth, Keith PAUL, Weston SC fifth and John BROWETT, Datchet Water SC in sixth.
