Global Challenge 2004/2005
Portsmouth

The website for the Global Challenge, www.globalchallenge2004.com, is now officially live, in preparation for the start of the race on the 3 October from Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, GBR.
For the first time in the event's history the website is a Challenge Business in-house production, bringing a team of experts together to deliver up-to-the-minute news, features, live interviews, photographs from the fleet, daily logs, RSS (Real Simple Syndication) for immediate pop up notices and a new and improved race viewer so spectators will be able to see the yachts' positions anywhere in the world.

"We've been working on bringing the website in-house for the past four years and are incredibly proud with the result," explained Sir Chay BLYTH, executive chairman of Challenge Business. "We want the website to provide immediate news, no matter what time of the day it is and our team of dedicated writers will be making sure it is bang up to date with the latest race goings-on. With easy to download audio and photos from the depths of the world's oceans, followers will really be able to get a feel for the action.

"As well as the in-house team of producers and writers, our thanks go to Alchemy Digital, altoHiway, Real Adventure, MVM, Sardine Media, Telaurus and the raft of contributors who've enabled us to bring such a terrific website to life."
