Obituary: Jacques Simon (FRA)

Jacques Simon

The Federation Française de Voile advises with great sadness that Jacques Simon passed away on 12 May 2010.

Jacques was Secretary General of the Federation Française de Voile from 1998 until 2001, and member of the FFVoile Executive Committee from 1997 until 2005. He also chaired the Appeal committee of the FFVoile for numerous years.

Jacques became an international judge in 1990, chairing an impressive number of international juries of competitions in France and around the world.

"It is with great sadness that the Federation Française de Voile reports that Jacques Simon, International Judge, has died, aged 64. He was a very kind man, actively involved in sailing, and he was appreciated by all, competitors, officials and organizers."
