2012 Olympics

Eight U.S. cities also have submitted bids for the Olympics. They are New York, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, San Francisco,Tampa, and Washington-Baltimore.

Other cities like Madrid(Spain), London(Great Britain), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Cape Town (South Africa) also have ambitions to win the right to hold the 2012 Games.
The International Olympic Committee will choose a host city in fall 2005.

2008 Olympics

The 112th Session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will be held in Moscow from 13 to 16 July 2001. During this Session, the IOC will take two landmark votes: to elect the host city of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in 2008 on 13 July and to elect a new IOC President on 16 July.
