Topper World Championship 2004
Carnac

The 2004 Topper World Championship kicked off on Sunday with the Opening Ceremony. 252 sailors representing nine nations are in Carnac, France for the event.
High winds prevented sailing yesterday and the Gold/Silver/Bronze fleets will be based on the four races completed so far.

The three scheduled races were all completed on Monday in a westerly force four wind. The fleet all came ashore having enjoyed their sailing, saying that it had been fantastic, brilliant and wonderful. To quote Senior sailor Robin WRIGHT: it was windy, choppy, hard work, good fun and I was beaten by the youngsters!"

The first points race was sailed on Sunday after a practice race and many of the less experienced sailors struggled with the big waves whilst others revelled in the downwind surfing conditions.

Results are available on the event website via the link below. To view the Topper World Championship information, click on Régater, select Les régates l'année and then choose Topper from the drop down list votre choix.
