Watersports training specialist, Rockley Academy, have brought to light options for further education and progression within the watersports industry, where vocational training and work experience can be delivered alongside professional career development.

Rockley Academy's Professional Watersports Training (PWT) programme is a perfect choice for gap year students and those wanting a career in watersports. The intensive dinghy instructor course runs for six consecutive weeks and takes place several times a year at Rockley Academy's centre at Rockley Point, Poole, Europe's largest natural harbour.

Rockley Academy provides for all watersports training, including coaching and specialist centre management courses across the watersports disciplines of dinghy sailing, windsurfing and powerboating. The PWT course provides students with the opportunity to progress their career in both the UK and overseas and on successful completion students will be offered (subject to mutual compatibility) at least 12 weeks paid work experience at one of Rockley's centres in either England or France.

This period of further development will prove invaluable in combining what has been learnt and the progression to becoming a professional watersports instructor.
