Betsy ALISON, Suzy LEECH and Lee LCYDA maintain their lead in the Open Fleet after 3 more races.

With six of the scheduled ten races now complete, the American trio skippered by Betsy ALISON are maintaining their form in this tough fleet. Whilst they have scored only one win, it is their consistency which keeps them at the front of the pack. Having said that, with a placing of 43 in yesteday's race 6, they are no doubt relieved that a discard has come into play.

Moving up close behind Alison after a bullet in race 6 is fellow American crew skippered by Hannah SWETT, with Joan TOUCHETTE and Melissa PURDY.

However, still early days with another 4 races to be contested in Germany.

But this Championship is clearly providing excellent practice for those women going onto compete at the Yngling Women's Worlds at the 2003 ISAF World Championship in Cadiz, Spain which will is the second of three qualification regattas for the 2004 Olympic Regatta.
