The Spanish Team have shown their dominance in the class that last year celebrated it's fiftieth anniversary, by taking Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for the third year running.
By winning three out of the 12 races sailed, and not counting a single result out of the top seven, Jesus BARRIONUEVO and Pedreno SANCHES (ESP) won by ten points from fellow countrymen, Jesus AMALIACH and Jon NAUSIA.
Despite struggles on the first day, with a DNC and a 26 place finish in the first two races, Barrionuevo and Sanches showed a mature and consistent approach for the remainder of the regatta to lead the 82 boat international fleet from 10 nations.
Spain led the fight in the Women's camp as well, with the women's trophy and title of Women's World Champions went to Olatz MUNOZ and Jaione AYASTUI (ESP. The pair finished 12 overall, two places behind Jan HAVEN and Mark HAVEN (NED), who in finishing in tenth place overall, took the junior Title.
