St Croix International Regatta
St Croix, US Virgin Islands

St Croix International Regatta which kicked off yesterday, saw winter cobwebs blown away for some competitors but some of the cobwebs were more stubborn than others.
St Thomas'Magnificent 7 is leading the racing class with five points after four races yesterday. St Croix's Broken Drum is second and El Shaddai is third. Last year's winner, Willy-T, has not returned to defend its crown.

Puerto Rico takes the top two positions in racer/cruiser with Lazy Dog leading Abracadabra by one point. Pipe Dream, with some of the most stubborn cobwebs, is third.

Balaju 2 leads cruiser class and Brand New Secondhand is topping the IC 24 class, new for this year.

In the beach cats, Lolo Too leads while Charis tops the Multihull class.

There was a patchy 15-knot breeze yesterday, the wind has freshened for today.

It's family regatta, with an Optimist Regatta running concurrently with the big boat racing. As a father was telling his son to try harder in the clubhouse this morning, the son replied, 'I'm doing better that you!' Touché.
