About the Olympic Sailing Competition

About SailingThe Organising Authority for the London 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition is the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), in conjunction with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).

The 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition takes place from 29 July to 12 August hosted at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in Dorset, Great Britain.

Racing is in the ten Olympic events under the Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012. A team of experts is appointed by ISAF to ensure fair play and good racing.
