The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) is hosting the 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition.
Situated approximately two and a half hours away from London, there are excellent road and rail links to Weymouth and the rest of Great Britain.

HRH The Princess Royal, IOC Member and President of the Royal Yachting Association, officially opened the £7.85 million purpose-built Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) on 9 June 2005. The Academy's state of the art facilities are tailored to the specific needs of the sport, for able-bodied and disabled sailors alike. It will also host the 2012 Paralympic Sailing Competition.
Set up as a 'Sailing Centre of Excellence', the site covers approximately seven acres and launches directly into the sheltered water of Portland Harbour. Immediately outside the harbour there are excellent sailing conditions on Weymouth Bay.
Athlete's will be housed at a purpose built Athlete village a short walk from the main Academy with the numerous officials, media personnel and volunteers accommodated in the towns of Portland and Weymouth.
