Maximo Nores led an American 1-2-3 at the Techno 293 North American Championship in Cancun, Mexico with brother Geronimo taking second and Steven Cramer taking third.
Maximo, the elder of the two, led the fleet from start to finish to book an American spot at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
Two Nanjing 2014 YOG spots were up for grabs at the Techno 293 North Americans and heading into the final day just three points separated Mexico's Mateo Salles in fourth, Aruba's Mack Van Den Eerenbeemt in fifth and Puerto Rico's Lucas Miranda in sixth.
Four races on the final day left the qualification spot wide open and after the opening race of the day it was still wide open. However Van Den Eerenbeemt ended the regatta exactly how he started it, by winning races. Three bullets on the spin ensured the Aruban took the final qualification spot ahead of his Mexican and Puerto Rican rivals. His charge also left him just one point off the final podium position.
Marina Aguilar (MEX) finished seventh overall, the highest finisher of the girls and qualifies Mexico for a spot in the girls Techno 293 fleet at Nanjing 2014.
