As you may be aware, we have received a grant from Sport England's Inspired Facilities Programme to renovate parts of the gents changing rooms to create some family changing areas as well renovate the shower and toilet area. The work started on Monday 3 February and is expected to take approximately 4 weeks.

We will try to update you via the website as we can on progress and access arrangements, but would appreciate your cooperation as things do tend to change on a daily basis and there will be some inconvenience for a few weeks. The main changing area will be accessible throughout the works. At weekends it will be accessed from the outside as normal, during the week however you may need to access the changing room area from the inside door.

From Monday 10 February, the showers, urinals and basins in the gents have been stripped while work starts in that area.  The three toilet cubicles will remain accessible and by the weekend  of 15/16 Feb we expect that a basin will have been plumbed back in again.  However there will be no showers in the gents for approx. 2 weeks or so.  Shower facilities will be available in the disabled changing rooms, however we will just need to be flexible with using the disabled facilities around their core use (especially on Thursdays and at weekends).  During this period (especially midweek), you may find it easier to use the toilet facilities on the first floor.

We appreciate your co-operation during these essential works and things should return to normal for the beginning of March.

The new Club Manager has been appointed, he is Hugh Neill, who will start in his new post on Monday 17 February.  Hugh is a member of the club who lives in Belton-in-Rutland and may be known to some of you as one of the crew on Formula One, Whiskey Mac.  This appointment follows interviews with a dozen candidates from some 30 applications.  We are sure that members will give Hugh a warm welcome and be considerate while he takes over from Bruce Bonar; Bruce leaves his post on Friday 7 March.
