Acquia Board of Directors

Thomas Erickson has over 25 years of experience in software products and services. Most recently, he was the CEO of Systinet Corporation, a privately held software company recognized globally as a leader in providing a foundation for service oriented architectures (SOA) in Global 2000 companies. Systinet was sold to Mercury Interactive in 2006, which itself was acquired by Hewlett Packard (HP).

Dries is the original creator and project lead for the Drupal open source web publishing and collaboration platform. He serves as president of the Drupal Association, a non-profit organization formed to help Drupal flourish. A native of Belgium, Dries holds a PhD in computer science and engineering from Ghent University.

Michael Skok joined North Bridge Venture Partners as a GP in 2002. Prior to becoming a VC, Michael was an entrepreneur and CEO in the software business for 21 years. Michael recruited teams that attracted over $100m in private equity for investments in software companies ranging from CAD/CAM, Document Management, Workflow, Imaging and Collaboration to Security and spanning the Mini, Workstation, PC, Client Server and Internet eras.

John joined Sigma in 1996. With over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, a business unit manager, and an investor, John uses motivation, enthusiasm, and his own technology and operational expertise to support Sigma’s portfolio companies. Throughout his career, he has held executive management positions, created new business units and departments, and sponsored new projects at some of the industry’s most successful technology companies.

Brian Paul is a Managing Director of Tenaya Capital, and he has been a member of the Tenaya investment team since 1999.

In April 2011, Forbes published its Midas List of 2011's Top TechInvestors. Brian was ranked at number 54. Brian was also recently selected as one of the 15 most powerful venture capitalists on the East Coast by Business Insider.

Bogan is a private investor, Chairman of the Board Directors for Black Duck Software, and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Citrix Systems. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Bogan served in a variety of positions with Rational Software Corporation, an S&P 500 software company acquired by IBM Corporation in 2003, including President and Chief Operating Officer from 2000 to 2003 and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 1999 to 2000. Mr.

Paul Sallaberry has served as a venture investor and senior executive in highly regarded technology companies for nearly 30 years. His sales and operational experience will be valuable as Acquia continues its rapid expansion in various vertical and international markets. Mr. Sallaberry was Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations at Veritas Software, which was acquired by Symantec. Mr. Sallaberry also held senior positions at OpenVision Technologies and Oracle.

With more than 15 years of experience in venture capital, Jose Suarez serves as Managing Director for Investor Growth Capital, focusing on infrastructure technology, ranging from semiconductors to hardware systems and software. Previously, Jose was based in IGC’s Asian office where he managed a broad range of investments both in the public markets and in privately negotiated situations.

Jose received a B.A. in Asian Studies from Dartmouth College.
