Malin Waters Clipper Cruise in Company

The homecoming maritime festival for the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race will be held in "stroke city" (i.e. Derry / Londonderry) at the start of July. The RYA have organised two simultaneous flotilla cruises from Belfast Lough and Scotland to the festival and home again.

This will be led by RYA Yachtmaster instructors, will be geared for a wide range of experience, and should be the ideal opportunity for having a go at a first passage for those who have yet to make this step.

The Belfast cruise departs Belfast Lough on Saturday 30th June and from what I can gather aims to arrive in Derry on 2nd July with plans to stop over for a few nights.

Anyone who is interested in participating should register their interest by Monday 15th May by emailing clippercruise@ryascotland.org.uk

More details can be found at http://www.ryani.org.uk/?q=node/348 and http://www.rya.org.uk/cruising/current-issues/Pages/CruisingintheMalinWaters.aspx

If anyone does intend to take part in this, let me know and I will act as a communications channel between the lot of us.
