Twitter peek

A quick page to display your friends' twitterings in a narrow IM-style format. Auto refreshes every 5 minutes.

You can try it out. (twitter.com will prompt you to log in via Basic HTTP Auth)

It's terribly inefficient at the moment, because the Twitter json feeds have no option to limit the data in any way. Each refresh pulls back all your data from the last 24 hours.

I'd try it out, but I can't get logged in for some reason. Oh well!

Should just take email address and the password you signed up with.

Oh. Duh! It says "username", rather than "email". Cheers chicken.

Seems the Firefox 2 issue was having main Twitter and Twitter Peek open at the same time. A thinner API response would help too.
