DailyLit Starts Book Reading Groups Via Twitter Service

Innovative Digital Publisher Releases Popular Books in Installments via Leading Micro-Blogging and Social Networking Service

Mamaroneck, New York - June 11, 2008 - DailyLit (www.dailylit.com) today announced it is starting book reading groups via the Twitter service on June 16, 2008. DailyLit, an innovative digital publisher, will be releasing three popular books in short, serialized installments via Twitter, the leading micro-blogging and social network service.

The first three titles available for free via Twitter are DOWN AND OUT IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM by Cory Doctorow, 100 WAYS TO SUCCEED/MAKE MONEY by Tom Peters and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen. Twitter users will be able to follow the selected title each day, with a “tweet” providing the link to that day’s installment. The “tweet” can be received via a web page, through instant messenger or on a mobile device. Everyone will receive installments according to the same schedule, and there is no need to create an individual subscription.

“We’re interested in exploring new ways to make books more accessible to readers, and sending book installments via Twitter is an innovative way to do just that,” said Susan Danziger, CEO of DailyLit. “I also love the idea of creating a group experience by having folks from different parts of the world read books according to the same schedule.”

Readers interested in participating can sign up at any time between now and June 16th. For more information, see: http://www.dailylit.com/about/twitter. As Danziger declared, “Let the countdown begin!”
