The Baily Bowl sees the season open in Dublin, with the SB3s making a first formal appearance in this oldest of One Design Meetings

Formerly the Dragon fleet have taken centre stage, and it has long been on the Irish Dragon Calendar, with Ruffians and 1720s, but more recently with Squibs, Etchells and now the SB3s

It will be exciting to see how the Irish Fleet shape up, as there has been no shortage of enthusiasm, with many out practising regularly. With the delays in delivery, the numbers will be a few less than we might have hoped for, but there is every chance of over 25 SB3s taking part, which should give all those patient sailors an opportunity to see what we have all been raving about……
