WH Insurance Consultants was set up in 1987 by Tim Dieu de Bellefontaine initially as there were areas of the sailing community that were finding it very difficult to obtain marine Insurance. It started as a Multihull and Dinghy specialist but now also has expanded to include Keelboats, Yachts and Inland Waterways craft. In 2005 David Lloyd took over the reigns with Tim staying on as a partner. David has sailed and raced many types of Dinghy, Multihull and Keelboat. He has been a National Champion in 4 different countries in the Dart 18 attaining 19 National Titles to date and has also won Cowes week in the Victory Class keelboat. He has sailed in every Dart 18 World Championships from 1991 to 2013, finishing in the medal positions on 5 occaisions. Recently He was World Vice Champion (Silver Medal - November 2009 sailing with crew Joanna Jones - Pierce) He is current Dart 18 UK National Champion (2013), Inland National Champion (5 years in row 2008-2012) Dutch National Champion (2013) Belgian National Champion (2013). He has also competed at Formula 18 and Tornado Worlds in recent years. He also sails a National Squib keelboat. (Finshed 5th at Cowes Week Championships 2012) David is an experienced Protest committee chairman and has an excellent knowledge of the current racing rules. Tim has sailed a variety of craft and is a previous two up winner of the Dart 15 Nationals. In the last few years he has mainly sailed Spitfires Dart 18s and Dart 15s. |
