Arthur Brett (AUS) won the Contender World Championships that concluded in Kingston, Ontario, Canada yesterday. He won from Andrea Bonezzi (ITA) who finished in second position.
Bonezzi was leading the final race with Brett in second, and knew that to win the title he had to slow Brett down, and put some boats in between him and Brett. But it was not to be and Brett sailed to second position in the final race, enough to give him the title. Finishing in third position in that race and overall was Britain's Nigel Walbank.
