After the second day of races, the last results start to show more clearly in all categories the duels for conquering the world titles in this edition of the Mistral Youth & Junior World Championships in Bulgaria, even if in most cases the situation remains pretty flexible.

Among the youth athletes (under 20), the last races have seen Byron KOKKALANIS who won the bronze medal at the 2003 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship emerge as the new leader of the group. Following him in second place is the French sailor Anthony MOURIER who put behind him the leader after day one, David ROBERTSON.

There are changes also for the junior male ranking where the Italian Fabian HEIDEGGER and Pierre LE COQ (FRA) conquered the first and second places, leaving the European Champion, Lukasz GRODZICKI in third position, just two points behind.

Two Italians are leading in the girls youth and junior rankings. Flavia TARTAGLINI, winning the two races yesterday, keeps the top of the under 20 ranking, followed by the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship 2004 silver medallist Anne Sophie LA PAGE (FRA), while the Marina ALABAU (ESP) dropped into third position.

Among the juniors, Laura LINARES who won the bronze medal at the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship 2004 is now first with Malgorzata BIALECKA and Martina FISCO, second and third.

In the Aloha class Schliemann remains on top, while the Italian Carli got the second place, leaving Noesmen in third position.

No problems either for Paco WIRZ in the Raceboard Masters World Championship. With two more victories, the Italian champion is still leading the ranking where Bouren maintains the second position followed by another French sailor, Franck LOUP.
