US Junior Women's Single-handed And Double-handed Championships

More than 150 young women sailors are expected to participate in this year's Championships held in July and August.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the US Junior Women's Double-handed Championship for the Ida Lewis Trophy which will be held at Ida Lewis Yacht Club in Newport, Rhode Island, 5 - 11 July. Racing in Club 420s will start on 8 July with three races constituting a series.

The US Junior Women's Single-handed Trophy for the Nancy Leiter Clagett Memorial Trophy will be sailed from 31 July - 5 August at California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, California using the Laser Radial. Last year's winner was 2003 ISAF Youth World Champion Paige RAILEY. The event will also act as a qualifier for the 2006 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championships in Weymouth, GBR.

Vanguard Sailboats sponsored events are open to young women sailors who are between 13 and 18 this calendar year and the Notice of Race for both events is now available online via the links below.
