Bullets yesterday went to 2004 Mistral European Champion, Lise VIDAL (FRA) and significantly, to 2003 ISAF World Champion, Lee-El KORZITS (ISR), moving her into third position on the leaderboard. After a disappointing 17 in race ten Flavia TARTAGLINI (ITA) drops down to fourth place just ahead of the Hong Kong duo of CHAN Wai Man and CHAN Wai Kei.
Currently 19th overall but second in the European Youth Championship standings is Laura LINARES (ITA), whilst Eugenie RICARD (FRA) lies in third.
In the men's fleet HUGUET's run of four top five finishes has given him a 15 point lead over Andreas CARIOLOU (CYP). Ricardo SANTOS (BRA) strung together a great set of results from races four to seven, but yesterday finishes of 13 and eleven see him back in third place overall.
Race victories yesterday went to two Frenchmen, Samuel LAUNAY and Nicolas BEUDOU. However the real winner was HO Chi Ho (HKG), whose two second places lifted him to fourth spot overall.
Currently Juan Manuel MORENA VEGA (ESP) leads the European Youth Championship. He is 15 points ahead of Antoine CORDONNIER (FRA) in second, with the Israeli, Shahar TZUBERI in third.
After the eleventh race in both fleets today the second discard will be taken into account, although currently this looks unlikely to have a significant effect on the leaders.
