Formula 18 World Championship
Puntala

153 teams from twelve nations and three continents have entered the 5th Formula 18 World Championship held in Puntala (ITA), making this event the largest one the class has ever managed.
As usual, the best Olympic champions have left their Tornados for a while to join the F18 family, giving this World championship the highest skill level, Darren BUNDOCK and Mitch BOOTH being here one more time in competition as they will be in a few weeks in Athens to get the Gold Medal.

Two races have been completed for the four groups in strong weather conditions, showing the Australian delegation in the best position with Darren BUNDOCK, Greg GOODALL and Mark LARUFFA, together with former Australian Mitch BOOTH taking the lead of this huge fleet.

Three more races are scheduled today, six qualification races being needed prior to build up the final Gold and Silver fleets.

To notice the good performance of the new Capricorn, designed and built in Australia, contesting the primacy of the well spread Hobie Tiger, Nacra 18 and BCM Cirrus.
