South Cerney Sailing Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre for Sailing and provides adult courses for RYA Level 1 and 2 and youth courses for RYA Stage 1, 2, 3, and 4. This year we will be running an RYA Sart Racing course on Friday evenings. There are also practice sessions available to improve your skills.

Overview | An introductory course to give you a basic understanding of how a boat sails and to give you experience of steering and handling. | By the end of this course you will have a range of sailing skills and background knowledge, and be well on your way to being a confident small boat sailor. | By the end of this course you will be able to sail in any direction and rig and launch your boat. South Cerney Sailing Club also offers 2 hour taster sessions for anyone who has not sailed before and would like to give it a try. These have proved extremely popular in recent years. This can be provided as a gift voucher - great idea for a birthday present!
We can also offer practice sessions. These are a great way to build on the skills you have learnt in your level 1 and 2 courses with a fully qualified instructor on hand to provide help and advice. Practice sessions take place on specific Saturdays throughout the year, but can also be booked at a time to suit you.
