Book your place now for the RYA Active Marina Experience at the London Boat Show

If you want to refresh your boating skills and pick up some top tips from expert instructors, then sign up today for the RYA ‘Active Marina Experience’ which is returning to the London Boat Show (04-12 January).

Back by popular demand, the RYA Active Marina Experience workshops provided by City Sailing will be running throughout the show on the WHICH MARINA stand (E138). These will offer visitors a selection of free shore based workshops, from VHF refreshers to diesel engine basics.  Also new for this year will be the Sea Survival and First Aid workshops which will be running on each of the nine days.

The event is part of the RYA Active Marina programme which encourages boat owners to get more out of life with their boats by gaining the confidence and skills to leave their berths and to get out on the water more often.

RYA Yachting Development Officer Guy Malpas says: “The RYA Active Marina Experience was a huge success at last year’s London Boat Show and we’re delighted that it will be returning for 2014. On entry to the show with a valid ticket, these free shorebased sessions provide you with some real hands on experience”.

Places are very limited, so it is highly recommended you book your session in advance by emailing: bookings@whichmarina.com or calling 01784 223 816. You can also book at the show by visiting the WHICH MARINA stand (E138).

The RYA Active Marina Programme encourages and supports increased berth holder activity by partnering with marinas, RYA recognised training centres, berth holder groups and yacht clubs to establish or enhance a programme of training, cruising and social opportunities.
