Hungary's Farkas Litkey, Vezer Karoly and Csaba Weinhard were crowned the new Soling World Champions after a light air race on the last day of the championship, in which the match against Canada's Peter Hall, Paul Davis and William Hall paid off due to a black flag start in which both end up being BFD.

ORACLE TEAM USA won the 34th America's Cup in a winner-take-all 19th race, defeating challenger Emirates Team New Zealand by 44 seconds in today's clincher. Led by 35-year-old skipper Jimmy Spithill, ORACLE TEAM USA won by the score of 9-8.

Disabled Sailing and IFDS

Sailing takes many forms; you can cruise, race or simply potter around in all kinds of boats, on the sea or inland water. It is one of the very few sports in which able-bodied sailors and disabled sailors can participate on equal terms.

The International Association for Disabled Sailing (IFDS) has been authorized by ISAF to be responsible for sailing for people with disabilities worldwide. IFDS is an affiliate member of ISAF and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and works with it's members, the Recognized National Authorities (RNAs).

IFDS promotes all types of sailing for people with all types and degrees of disability. The values of IFDS are equity, opportunity to excel and empowerment for sailors with disabilities.
