Halloween Howler

Leeds University SC hosts the Halloween Howler at West Riding Sailing Club.

This warm up event for the team racing season will be sure to blow the cobwebs away from the summer partying and get some extended time on the water. With the sailing on Wintersett Reservoir WF4 2EE and the socials in Leeds, it is an event not to be missed.

We aim to provide a strongly competitive event that is also accessible to those new to team racing looking at what could possibly be their first event of the year.

For more details see the Notice of Race and Entry FormLeeds will be once again presenting the option of our cheque free damage deposit scheme this year. This ensures the no cheque policy recently adopted by some university unions doesn’t have to affect personal bank accounts.

The Brummy Bender

Hosted by University of Birmingham Sailing Club at Bartley Green Sailing Club, 101, Jenners Lane, Birmingham B32 3NU.

Following the great success of the 10th anniversary of the Bender, this year we are going bigger and better. We are hoping to have at least 21 teams join us for a full weekend of racing, with two cracking socials out in Birmingham. So enter your teams and help us to kick off the next decade of the bender with a Brummy Bang!

Bottled Firefly Trophy

To be held at West Kirby SC. This event is primarily aimed at Freshers and consists of a day’s coaching on the Saturday and racing on the Sunday. Sailed in Fireflies, limited number of entries available, accommodation provided and food & Saturday evening social included. Please email to request an entry.

London 6-Pack

The London 6-Pack, hosted by University of London Sailing Club at BTYC Sailsports (Welsh Harp Reservoir).
Team Racing event to be sailed in Fireflies – up to 16 Teams.

For teams who attend the 6-Pack there will be discounted entry offered for the London Duck on the 8th-9th March on a first come first served basis.

The Welsh Dragon

Hosted by Cardiff University Sailing Club at Cardiff Yacht Club.

The annual team racing event is upon us! Following on from last year’s hugely successful event, we are going to try and up our game even more!

The weekend will be full of some cracking sailing, followed by Cardiff’s best socials!
Sailing will take place in Cardiff Bay, operating from Cardiff Yacht Club.

Winter is fast approaching again, which only means one thing, the Bristol Brew!
If you can brave the cold, this event is one not to be missed. The racing is very close, competitive and at a high level, with a social to match it.

Brunel Badger

PROVISIONAL dates – to be confirmed in September 2014

The Badger is Brunel’s own team-racing event which been run successfully since 2007. The weekend will be a fast-paced event packing in as many races as possible. There will be racing on both days as well as some great enjoyable nights out.

Racing in Fireflies, there will be a series of round robins with the winning team being decided in the finals on Sunday. All sailors are welcome to try their hand at the tiller, and it’s a great opportunity for newer sailors to race alongside their team mates.

The sailing will be at Datchet Water Sailing Club, Queen Mother Reservoir Horton Road, Horton, Berkshire, SL3 9NT.

Nottingham Snakebite

The Snakebite is hosted by Nottingham University Sailing Club at Nottinghamshire County SC.

Including great socials on Friday and Saturday nights. Social tickets £15 per head, this will include entry for two incredible nights out and lunch on both days. Feel free to bring extra social sailors along!

Hallam Hangover

Now in its second year, Sheffield Hallam University Sail and Windsurf Club are pleased to invite you to our annual team racing event, the Hallam Hangover!

Come and join us for two days of top quality team racing, organized by a team of experienced sailors.

Racing will take place over the weekend of 22nd – 23rd March 2014 in the wonderful waters of Pennine Sailing Club in the heart of the Peak District.

We have an epic social programme planned for the Friday and Saturday night, so you can be assured of a fantastic weekend!

The event gives you the opportunity for some last minute practice before the Wilson Trophy or as an ideal season closer, allowing your newer sailors to get some extra practice ahead of the forthcoming season!

Hosted by Swansea University and held at Tata Steel Sailing Club. This is the first time for many years that Swansea has held a team racing event so we will be pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s an absolute cracker!

It will be run in a round robin format with the top two teams fighting it out for first place on Sunday afternoon. Places are limited to 16 teams, so please get your entries in early to avoid disappointment.

The Championship Finals is one of the premier team racing events in the UK and is the culmination of the university team racing season. The competition can be fierce
and the difference between the top teams very slight, making for excellent racing and good spectating. Aside from the prestige of hosting the event, most host clubs have benefited in financial terms from being host.
