Barcelona RYA Dayskipper Weekend Course - Part 1

Learn to sail a yacht over two weekends with the RYA Dayskipper weekend sailing course.  This part 1 weekend course in Barcelona will count towards your Dayskipper qualification. Part two will entail a further 3 days of sailing and is run over a long weekend. During this two day course you will stay the night onboard the yacht in Barcelona. On this RYA Day Skipper practical course you will gain further experience through planning and completing passages, including a night sail. You will also gain your ICC (International Certificate of Competence). The course also involves lots of close quarter handling skills and mooring.


The Part 1 RYA Day Skipper Course Includes:

  • Fuel & water filters

  • Yacht handling under power
  • Yacht handling under sail


Course Objective: Gain RYA Day Skipper certificate and you will be licensed to skipper your own boat and charter a boat both in the UK or abroad.


Prerequisite: Some theoretical knowledge is an advantage. Day Skipper Theory

You can complete your RYA Dayskipper part two (3 day weekend course) in Brighton or Barcelona. This RYA Dayskipper course is also run over 5 continuous week days in Barcelona or Brighton
