Advanced Crew

New to sailing? The advanced crew package sets you up not just as competent crew but also invaluable learning of Navigation and the VHF radio. The package includes the RYA Competent Crew course which is 5 days long either run during the week Monday to Friday or split over two weekends with the second weekend running Friday night to Monday.

The Dayskipper Theory course is best taken after your Competent crew course and we mainly run these over 3 weekends, which you can either do over consecutive weekends or split over several months. 

The GMDSS radio course is 1 day, this gives you essential knowledge and practice of using the radio for emergency distress situation as well as very practical general usage.

Once you have completed this package to become a skipper you only need to complete the Dayskipper practical.
