Windsurf Improvers Course - Hove Lagoon, Brighton, Sussex

Improvers windsurf course aiming to gain RYA level 1 ability on Hove Lagoon, Brighton, East Sussex.

This  windsurf course is designed to follow on from our taster session with the aim of improving your turns and getting you windsurfing up wind. You will learn all the basic windsurfing techniques from one of ourexperienced and friendly instructors. The course takes place in the shallow and sheltered waters of Hove Lagoon, which is an ideal learningenvironment for those new to windsurfing.

Improvers Course Content Includes:

• Master steering.
• Turn around both upwind (Tack) and down wind (Gybe).
• Windsurf up wind and down wind.

Learn to Windsurf Courses at Lagoon Watersports, Brighton are :

• Modern lightweight kit, expert tuition and waist deep water makes Lagoon Watersports the best place to learn.
• Master the basics of how to control and steer a windsurf board.
• Group sizes are kept to a maximum of 6 people.
• Run by highly experienced and friendly RYA instructors.
• All specialised equipment is provided, including wetsuits.

The course includes 1 x half days training plus 2 x 2 hour club practice sessions which include training and equipment hire.

Course Objective:At the end of the course you will be able to windsurf in light winds toa chosen point and return to where you started. Those that have reacheda certain level of competency will receive the RYA level 1 certificate.This will enable you to hire windsurfing equipment at most RYA centresin light winds.

To progress your windsurfing skills and get out on to the sea, we would advise taking the Intermediate Non-Planing Course which is the follow on course to Learn to windsurf.

What is not included: Unless you have bought the RYA level 1 course the log books and certificates are not included in the price and can be added for an additional £10.

What is next: We recommend the RYA Intermediate Non Planing Course which aims to get you ready to go on the sea.

Prerequisites: The Learn to Windsurf courses is aimed at those with two or three hours windsurfing experience in the recent past.

What to Bring:All you need to bring is an old pair of shoes you don’t mind gettingwet, towel and swim wear. Wetsuit, buoyancy aid and equipment hire isincluded. We also sell neoprene shoes if you forget your old pair!
