News sources are reporting that since the overthrow of Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi in early July, more than 1,000 Egyptians have been killed and thousands more injured in widespread violence.
In addition to human casualties, the vandalism or destruction of Christian churches by demonstrators has been reported, including three Assemblies of God churches.
AG World Missions is stepping in where it can. According to AGWM Executive Director Greg Mundis, the AGWM Suffering Church fund is already assisting AG-affiliated churches by providing resources to help them in their recovery efforts.
