International Snipe Class

The International Snipe is an internationally renowned racing dinghy; it is one of the largest classes in the world. There are many things that make this boat so popular, not least the extremely competive racing and clear sense of enjoyment snipe sailors experience the world over.  The Snipe has beautiful racing lines and can be sailed by sailors of all ages in most conditions - even in strong wind and heavy sea.  Snipes are well built and will hold their value for years while not suffering from any degradation in racing performance that other dinghies may suffer.

The UK Snipe Class International Racing Association (SCIRA) is well run organisation.  We take a keen interest in all programmed regattas and the success of our sailors both locally and internationally.  It is not uncommon to see a Snipe sailor representing their country in an olympic class!

Our sailors regularly compete in International regattas, the European race circuit has some of the best competitions that sailing has to offer.  Locally and Internationally the Snipe Class offers the best racing calendar you can imagine.
