This respirator works great, and is very comfortable too. I do find though, if you're doing an activity that gets your heart rate up, like cutting a whole lot of grass with a push mower with hills, that you'd better do it while its earlier in the morning if you plan to use the mask. The air in the mask gets pretty hot and can become uncomfortable to breath for a little while. Other than that, this mask is perfect, and cleaning it is a breeze.

I ordered this dust respirator to use while woodworking. Finish sanding generates a lot of fine airborne dust, and everyone that is exposed to this should ware dust protection gear. So far I like this device, it's not too heavy, seems to fit reasonably well, and air flow while breathing is less restricted than with the simple paper masks. The replaceable filter elements are reasonably priced. It also seals around the nose and face better than the paper masks, and should be less expensive to use. So far from my limited use (about a month) I would recommend this product over the disposable masks. The product was delivered promptly and in good condition from the vendor.

The picture shows 2 pink filters with the mask. I have never purchased this type of mask before and wrongly assumed I was buying what was pictured. The description should have listed "filters shown must be purchased separately" or "picture is different from actual item"
I am 6' tall and around 200 pounds and the large mask fits well. Once I get my filters (from another vendor), I will find out how well it works.

I had previously used these respirators with the pink 2097? filters for a couple years.
They're great during heavy grinding/dusty situations.
My fatigue is greatly reduced when I use this respirator through out the shift.
Plus when I get home my nose isn't full of black debris and snot.
Very pleased with this respirator, Wish I had invested in one sooner.
They really take the edge off all the inhalation that comes with metal fabrication and welding.
Fits well under my Jackson Hood, On my My Lincoln Electric/Jackson hood on Full-Tilt down it bumps the chin of the hood a little.
They're great during heavy grinding/dusty situations.

Great mask at a reasonable cost for heavy duty dry wall demolition, sanding, and weed whacking of dry brush...
--- but NOT for any type of light duty spray painting, such as with a HVLP gun and 1 stage enamel....
--- unless you install an organic cartridge #6001, the #502 adapter, and the #2097 pinky (which comes with it)...
--- or buy the self contained #60921 cartridge and swap it on when you want to paint.
To get the fit correct, cinch it up tight behind your neck and especially over your head...
--- it isn't meant to fit "loose and comfortable".

Fit is very important on a respirator mask, especially if you're wearing one for hours at a time. This fits the bill and then some. The rubber is a good mix between stiff and soft - not too stiff to hurt your face, but not so soft as to be problematic to wear. It's also quite light, another big plus if you're wearing one for hours on end.

Comes with good straps that hold the product in place. Air filtering is excellent, and you can get enough air even when doing heavy jobs. I have a prominent nose bridge, and will say it does ride a little high on the nose, squashing my nose a little, and making it difficult to wear safety goggles at the same time. Still, like the product, haven't seen anything better.

I bought this mask and was very happy with it. That said, I bought the 7503 so that I would have a backup. The 7503 is a slightly higher end mask for about $10 more. The 7503 is slightly more comfortable to wear. You will like either, but take a look at both before making your decision. By the way - large fits a normal size adult male. There are different sizes available so just a heads up.
EDIT 4/24 In order to be perfectly clear - this mask gets 5 stars and is very comfortable, good value, you will never go back to paper again etc. The only reason I suggest looking at the other mask is that it is even more comfortable and since it is used in the act of generating income, $10 doesn't mean a lot if you get something for it. Hope this is helpful.

Welding gas mask
