I don't usually write reviews, in fact this is my first, but enjoyed this book so much I just had to share. Mack is quickly joining my small list of favorite heroines; I love the fact that while she is truly kick-ass, she is very real. If you are a fan of Mercy Thompson, Jane Yellowrock, and Kate Daniels, these books are for you.

The author draws you in with her characters. With each book you feel more at ease with the main characters and eager to get to know the new ones. It's an underworld meets fairy tale with a hint of lust and adventure. The drama unfolds and takes your imagination far away from home. I can't wait for the next book, Mack is my hero. Makes me proud to be born in the year of the Dragon.

(*slight spoiler alert) I really love this series, but this fourth installment made me mad, it was good but the ending... There is just no way that Mack would let that group of politicians dictate anything to her. The Mack I know and love tells everyone to F- off pretty much constantly. It's the most endearing part of her personality. The ending just didn't ring true to me.

I'm addicted. I couldn't wait to to read this series after I read the first one. When I found out that the 4th one was just released I was extremely disappointed that I'd have to wait for 5. I'm very impatient ant that is why I don't read any kind of series unless I can read it in its entirety. I'm addicted to every single character in this book. Enough action romance to keep you wanting more. Come on Helen I don't know how long I can stand how Mack will handle her new endeavor!

I totally loved the fourth book! The only down side is now I have to wait for the fifth book to find out what happens with Mack and Corrigan. The characters keep growing with each book and it makes it harder and harder to put it down! I hope book five comes out soon, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!!

I have greatly enjoyed reading books 1-4 over the last couple days and cannot wait to get a hold of the next book. I read a lot of urban fantasy/paranormal genre books and I can tell when pretty quickly when a book is "stinky". Helen Harper has strong plot lines, solid characters, and great resolutions that have enough lead ins for the next book to leave you drooling for more. I am a little saddened with the way things were left at the end of this book, but hopefully Mack will eventually have her happy ending.

I'm hooked and can't get enough of this series. I really hope Helen Harper writes a book 5 /6 / 7 / 8/ 9 &10. Once you start this series you will not want to stop reading all 4 of them...

Helen Harper is an English teacher currently living abroad in Malaysia. As a long time reader of urban fantasy, she finally bit the bullet and began to develop her own series of novels.

Helen has always been a book lover, devouring science fiction and fantasy tales when she was a child growing up in Scotland. "I always loved the escapism provided by those genres," states Helen.
