Refunds, returns & replacements

Google Play aims to deliver you cutting edge Android- and Chrome-powered devices and accessories that you'll love. However, in the event that issues arise and you aren't satisfied with your purchase, please review the information below to find out how to get the item you want or a refund for your purchase.

Return policy

If for any reason you do not wish to keep your device, you have up to 15 days from the date the device is delivered to you to initiate a return in accordance with the Return Instructions described below. You are responsible for returning the device in its original packaging with any accessories as soon as possible and at your own cost. You agree to comply with any instructions provided within the return authorization form. Google will issue a refund in your Google Wallet account for the amount paid for the device, less any shipping and handling charges, within a reasonable time after Google receives the device. If you fail to return the device in accordance with this Return Policy, we may deduct costs for recovering that device from any refund Google provides to you. For some returns, Google may charge you a restocking fee. Please review the restocking policies posted here to determine whether such fees apply to you.

Return instructions

Please contact our support team to return your device. In most instances, you will be required to submit an RMA form.

  1. We send a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and a pre-paid UPS shipping label to your email address. These will be sent in two separate emails.
  2. Print the RMA (attached in the email) and place the form inside of the shipping box you're returning.
  3. Print the pre-paid UPS shipping label and attach the label to the outside of the shipping box.

You must take reasonable care of any device that you return to Google, and return the device as described in any RMA form. Google does not take title to a returned device until Google receives it, so you will be responsible for the device until Google receives it, including for any damage during shipment to Google.

For additional tips, please see information on preparing your device for return.
