How to apply for RYA recognition
The documents needed in order to apply for recognition as an RYA training centre are shown below.
On receipt of your application an inspection will be arranged (for practical training centres and non-UK SRC centres). When our inspector is happy that your centre complies with RYA requirements, a report will be submitted to recommend that recognition should be granted. Recognition is then granted by the RYA, at which time you will receive confirmation through the post and may start running and promoting our courses.
Centres appling for recognition to run shorebased courses will not receive an inspection, but must not run courses or be publicised as an RYA recognised training centre until confirmation is received.
There is a lot of guidance and other information available to potential and existing training centres. Please see our Resources area.
For information on the costs associated with becoming recognised, please see the Fees section.
