Home Church
One of our key vision statements is to 'know Jesus better'. This is achieved through a living and dynamic relationship with Jesus as we are formed as disciples. Please click the links below to explore how St Thomas' Church is committed to support each person grow as a disciple of Jesus. Home Church is a friendly gathering of about 6-12 people. We help each other grow in our faith, have some fun and experience the kind of caring environment we all need.

It is a place where we can develop our personal relationships and encourage one another to identify and exercise our God-given gifts and abilities, to fulfil our potential and destiny in Jesus.

Home Church is not just another meeting, but a group where dynamic loving, caring and accountable relationships facilitate discipleship and outreach. We believe every member of a Home Church has a part to play and we encourage each other to contribute to both the Home Church and the wider community.
All our Home Churches have their own flavour, but the DNA is the same. A typical meeting could look something like this...
Welcome: 20 mins of chat and coffee, aimed at getting to know each other better.
Worship: 15 mins of focus on God using songs and reflection.
Bible: 30 mins discovering how the Word of God can be applied to our lives.
Ministry: 15 mins to pray for each other, making space for the Holy Spirit to impact our lives.
Prayer: 10 mins to pray for and to plan events for those outside our Home Church family.

Clusters
Clusters are groups of 3 or more Home Churches that demonstrate the vision of Home Church with a particular distinctive or flavour. Each Cluster has an appointed leader who provides support and direction for the Cluster. Home Churches meet as a Cluster a couple times a term to support and encourage one another. Each Cluster is outlined below:

re:source - space to grow together...
Jesus calls us to follow Him and do His works. We believe that Home Church is primarily about becoming a ‘disciple’ of Jesus. In His model prayer, Jesus teaches us to seek for God’s will to be done ‘on earth as it is in heaven’. We have all the instructions that Jesus taught His first disciples at our fingertips, that is in the Bible, and within the Cluster you will have the opportunity to go deeper into God’s word and be encouraged to ask questions in a relaxed, informal environment. We want to help you to grow from being a believer to becoming a follower and then a messenger. We also hope that you will find the time with us refreshing, rewarding and ultimately a place of resource!

re:plenish living life to the full...
Jesus said: "I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly". The inspiration of this Cluster is the intention of Jesus to enable us to fulfil our personal destiny. We are committed to helping every member of every Home Church in the Cluster to pursue all that God has prepared for them.  At the same time, we are committed to entering into this destiny corporately as a Cluster, as we play our part in the Family of the Home Churches at St. Thomas'. We believe the wider ministry of the Church, as a whole across the Eastleigh region, as it enters into its destiny, will be an inspiration for our individual Home Churches and Cluster meetings.

re:side a place to call home...
With an emphasis on the 18-30‘s age group, re:side is a Cluster that encourages us to understand and express ‘Christ in us, the hope of glory’. We seek to grow our relationship with God, who has ‘made His home in us’, while at the same time learning to be at home together in community. The Cluster makes use of a range of social and training opportunities as we look to unleash the life and destiny that re:sides in each one of us.

Home Churches are at the very centre of all we do at St. Thomas'. If you consider yourself a member of St. Thomas' Church, you should belong to one. If you are new to St. Thomas' the best way to get to know people, the best way to develop your relationship with God is to join a Home Church!
