Our technology partners benefit from the wide range of web and software applications we have developed to enable third party navigation software, mobile and web based applications to request and display visually attractive, multi-layered weather and ocean data. | ||
Enabled devices ultimately provide end users with global low resolution data, and our own high resolution data, which ranges from 0.1 degree (~10x10km) to 0.01 degree (~1x1km). Our 4x4km model provides a market leading MAE (mean absolute error) in wind speeds to our wind energy partners who monitor our data's performance every minute of every day. So our partners can be sure that the high quality of the weather and ocean forecast data they are providing to their customers, is continually assessed and maintained. Our GRIBview SDK's can be provided to navigation and software OEM's as part of the ENC producer's SDK's, enabling these OEMs to easily provide our GRIB weather and ocean data to their end users. SevenCs GmbH is example of an ENC company that incorporates our GRIBview SDK as a part of their kernel. Our SDK can be used with ENC's, Raster and BSB charts. With Mobile applications very much in demand we have developed our Pro2 Web API. This is a non GRIB-based data solution for the request and display of met and ocean data to web based or mobile applications. An example is our own Pro2 UI which interfaces with the Google maps API. | This is an easily enabled solution, particularly for bandwidth-sensitive mobile applications. Data is fully optimised and delivered as compressed overlays for the exact viewing area and parameters requested by the user, so there is no wasted bandwidth. All images are dynamically created (on the fly), and with a good GPRS signal, several images can be viewed every second, providing the most up to date information in an attractive and virtually seamless display. Revenue is derived from the sale of subscription-based data options to the end user. Free low resolutions options are also made available. Various end user billing options are available. Technology partners can generate a new revenue stream and provide their users with a global to local met and ocean data solution via their mobile, web and software applications.
