Over the past five years, we've certainly had the wind in our sails here at theyr.

In 2007, theyr.com was launched, providing the highestresolution weather forecast data available on the web.

Since then, the company has grown and we've introduced new services including GRIBview, which offers free GFS data plus our own high-resolution GRIB data. We've also considerably expanded our high-resolution coverage, and theyr now provides some of the highest resolution data available for the vast majority of the world's sailing, boating and fishing hotspots.

In addition to providing data via our own unique software and web interfaces, we have developed SDKs and Web APIs which enable third-party hardware, software, web and mobile applications to request and display our forecast data in an efficient, visually attractive, and easily customised manner.

We've been chosen by many of the marine world's best-known and respected organisations such as the RYA, RORC, the British Marine Federation,YBW.com and SevenCs. Our customer base has expanded to include all kinds of sailors and marinas, and the market-leading accuracy of our data has helped make us an important player in the emerging wind energy industry.

We are constantly working on ways to improve our services, and the new Pro2 interface is the latest example of this, which for the first time provides users with a uniquely interactive way to view live weather and ocean forecast data that has been created 'on the fly' for their exact requirements.

We have come a long way in the last few years, and we remain committed to an ongoing programme of research and development aimed at improving the quality and usability of our weather forecast data, software and web applications, and providing our customers with a unique insight and understanding of our complex world of weather.
