This terrific offer by Singapore Airlines will make it even easier for sailors to get to Australia to compete in any of the Sail Melbourne 2007 events.

Singapore Airlines were sponsors of Sail Melbourne 2006 and are delighted to reconfirm their support for sailing and the event by returning again for 2007.

As one of the premier airlines in the world, particularly the Asia Pacific region, Singapore Airlines is 'A Great Way to Fly'.

Summer Sailing 'Down Under'

Lower priced airfares to Australia will make a summer of sailing 'Down Under' even more attractive for sailors around the world, many of whom would otherwise be stuck in winter at home in Europe. Combined with Australia's low cost of living in comparison to Europe, ease of getting around and friendly atmosphere and it could not be more cost effective for sailors to come to train and race in Australia this summer.

The offer of up to 50kg additional luggage free of charge is also of great benefit for sailors as they are often flying with plenty of luggage weighing in at well over the standard 20kg weight.

This offer is particularly attractive for RS:X windsurfers who are accustomed to flying with all their equipment as it will remove the 'Russian roulette' of receiving excess baggage fines when with trying to fly with your equipment without any prior arrangements set in place.

How To Book

Full details of this excellent offer are available on the Sail Melbourne website - www.sailmelbourne.com.au - with a list of 20 cities in 17 different countries where sailors may access these substantial savings. All bookings need to be made directly with the named contact person from the Singapore Airlines office in each city and advise that they are competing in Sail Melbourne at the time of booking.

Sail Melbourne 2007 will include the premier ISAF Grade 1 regatta in the Southern Hemisphere - the Olympic and Invited Classes Regatta at Sandringham Yacht Club from 15-20 January. Sail Melbourne 2007 will also include the Pacific Rim and Open International Optimist Dinghy Championships, bringing Optimist sailors and their families together for a terrific sailing event on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

This offer is available immediately and all sailors wishing to capitalize on the Singapore Airlines offer are encouraged to check the Sail Melbourne website for further information on how to book your tickets!!
