ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship 2011
Zadar, Croatia

The Bahamas Christopher Sands is at his second consecutive ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship in Zadar, Croatia.
After finishing 28th in Istanbul, Turkey at the 2010 ISAF Youth Worlds Sands currently sits 24th on 129 points.

Sands is on the Athlete Participation Programme and is embracing the support and guidance of World Youth Sailing Trust Coach Hugh Styles. Sands said, "Hugh is really good. He gives us a lot of local knowledge in the morning and we have debriefings in the afternoon as well. It's a big help."

But like all sailors in Zadar Sands is frustrated with the lack of wind, "So far it has been great apart from the wind," he added. "The wind has been really shifty and it's been up and down as well."

Watch a full interview here with Sands as he talks about the athlete participation programme, the coaching he has received and his plans for the future.

Full results can be viewed here.

ISAF YouTube Channel will show footage from the event.
