The first race of the day was sailed in 10-12 knots, with a patchy breeze picking up for the next two races, making tactical sailing challenging.

The YZ Racing Team, led by skipper Nicky BETHWAITE, continued their good start to the regatta finishing the day with a 4th, 3rd and 8th. These results see the YZ crew maintain their number two position.

The best result of the day for Melanie DENNISON (AUS) and her X-Factor team came in race six with a 3rd placing. In the other two races of the day (race four and five) Dennison, Aders and Herbert finished 10th and 9th respectively.

A tough challenge surrounds this World Championship with Australian Yngling crews vying for Olympic selection, in this fourth and final of the Australian nomination regattas.

"Nicky and crew are sailing very well, however there is still a long way to go with four scheduled races still to contest", explained Dayne SHARP (Yachting Australia Yngling coach).

"Dennison and crew are up for the challenge ahead and will be aiming to close the gap between them and Bethwaite's crew when racing continues on Monday", Sharp added.

3. Michael Dunstan - 19pts
