IMS Mediterranean Championship
Cres

With a victory in both offshore races Sixty Group confirmed first place in overall results of the VIP IMS Mediterranean Championship with a big advantage.
Second place in the first offshore race which was sailed on Tuesday went to Sagola skippered by Fausto PIEROBON with the Croatian boat Karaka skippered by Frane BARBIERI finishing third.

The second offshore race used the complete course: Cres - Male Srakane - Rovinj - Cres which is a total of 124 nautical miles. Sixty Group's victory in the second offshore race leaves Giorgio GOLDONI and his crew in an almost unreachable position with three firsts and a second. A third place in the second offshore race for Karuba skippered by Darko HAJDINJAK brings them up to second place overall on eleven points as they discard the eleventh points they scored in the first offshore race. Karuba is just two points ahead of Swing 2 and Paolo LEONARDI who are in third overall.

The four boats placed from fourth to seventh place are separated by only two points difference. Il colore del vento - Franco Corazza, is in fourth with 16 points and Sagola - Fausto PIEROBON , X=mc2 - Fabio ROCHELI, Umana - Nicola TOGNANA are all tied on 18 points. The last three windward/leeward races are shaping up to be very interesting.
