After eight races and one discard, Enrique Figueroa and Victor Aponte (PUR) are leading in the Hobie 16 class followed by Armando Noriega and Rodrigo Achach (MEX) with Enrique "Keki" Figueroa and Natalia Olivero (PUR) in third. In the J 24 class, the local teams are currently in the lead with Efrain Lugo's Orion in first place, followed by Jorge Santiago's Maximus.

In the RS:X windsurfer, the Mexicans maintain a good lead over their nearest opposition in both the women's and men's divisions. Demita Vega leads the women's class and David Mier the men's.

The Snipe Class has completed six races and the definitive leading team with six bullets in a row is Raul Rios and Gabriel Ramos (PUR). The Murrietta brothers Jorge and Alejandro (MEX) are second, followed by Marco Teixidor and Ricardo Látimer (PUR) in third.

In the Sunfish class, Eduardo Cordero from Venezuela holds first place after completing seven races, closely followed by his fellow countryman, Hugolino Colmenares. Third place is held by Ard Van Aanholt from the Netherland Antilles.

The Laser Radial class is currently led by Mexico's Tania Elias Calles Wolf, with Daniela Rivera (VEN) in second place, and Philipine Van Aanhold (AHO) in third.

The Laser Standard class is comfortably led by Juan Maegli (GUA) with a perfect record of six wins in the six races sailed. Second place belongs to Raúl Aguayo (DOM) followed by Thomas Barrows (ISV) in third with a one point deficit.

The final day of the championship will decide the medals in the eight different events. Depending on the weather conditions, the race committee will decide whether to start racing as early as possible.
