Many Types of Hobie are Racing in Katwijk

Multi Hobie Cat European Championship

Katwijk

There were very variable winds and no more than 2 beaufort force of wind yesterday. 97 Hobie 16 were lined up to race the qualifications for the Gold fleet.

In the Gold fleet there are approximately 25 places up for grabs for which they are all competing. After two races Onno and Nick van der Plaat from the Netherlands are leading. In the last race of the day lots of sailors did not finish due to the time limit. The wind dropped and most sailors were brought to shore by motor boats. In the Dragoon class the youth were sailing 2 races as well.
