ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards 2005

The nominees for the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards 2005 will be announced on www.sailing.org at 1500 hours UTC. The short listed sailors have all been selected based on the simple criteria 'outstanding achievement during the period 1 September 2004 through to 31 August 2005'.
Last year's winners Robert SCHEIDT (BRA) and Sofia BEKATOROU and Emilia TSOULFA (GRE) won from a shortlist of ten male and five female nominees.

The nominated sailors have been selected after the receipt of nomination forms from across the sailing world.

The winners will be unveiled at the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards Dinner and Presentation on 8 November 2005 at the Grand Copthorne Hotel in Singapore during the ISAF Annual Conference. Each winner will be presented with the prestigious ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Award Trophy depicting the globe crowned with silver spinnakers and a Rolex timepiece.
