Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson take a ten point lead into today's lay day following their second race victory out of four sailed so far at the 2012 Star Worlds in Hyeres, France.
With 10 knots of south easterly wind blowing in the bay in Hyeres the conditions were ideal with the fourth race starting at 12:00 local time with no general recalls.

Right off the start however there was a collision as Diego Negri and Enrico Voltolini (ITA) hit Fernando Echavarri and and Fernando Rodriguez (ESP). With fairly significant damage the boats headed back to the harbour and missed out on Race 4.

At the first upwind mark the German team of Hubert Merkelbach and Nils Hollweg, disqualified at the third day weigh in, hit the mark first followed by Daniel Stegmeir and Beat Stegmeir (SUI) with Sweden's Tom Lofstedt and Haken Lundgren following closely behind.

The Germans kept their lead at the downwind mark but at the next mark Flavio Marazzi and Enrico de Maria (SUI) had taken over. The Swiss pair were followed by Mateusz Kusznierewicz and Dominik Zycki (POL) and Percy and Simpson.

But at the finish Percy and Simpson took the bullet with the Polish pair in second and Eivind Melleby and Petter Pedersen (NOR) taking third.

Robert Scheidt and Bruno Prada (BRA) finished down in tenth place handing Percy and Simpson a ten point lead going into the lay day. Peter O'Leary and David Burrows remain third overall, one point behind Scheidt and Prada.
