Tornado World Championship
Lake Garda, Italy

Greece's Iordanis Paschalidis and Kostas Trigonis have retained their Tornado World Championship title by taking victory in Lake Garda, Italy.
Light and fluky winds on the final day meant many of the sailors used up their discard as places changed dramatically. Whilst some struggled the Greeks remained as consistent as ever. Throughout the eight race series they notched up six bullets and two second places to take the title by 21 points.

Roland and Nahid Gaebler took the Mixed crown and came second overall with a third place in the last race. A 13th in the final race of the regatta saw Matteo Ferraglia and Lorenzo Bianchini (ITA) slip out of second and into third after they discarded a DNF from Race 7.
Class charter boat for this event and are sure to come back and join in for more racing.

Nikos Mavros and Alexander Tagaropoulos (GRE) took the bullet for the last race and finished up fourth overall closely followed by Brett Burvill and Ryan Duffield (AUS).

The 2013 Tornado World Championships will be held in Ibiza, Spain.
