An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Web Designer to join our Design Team based in London. The successful candidate will work on exciting projects for clients within the sports industry, applying their creativity across a range of brands.
The Role
The Web Designer will be involved in a wide variety of online design work: using their creativity to produce graphic artwork, designing promotional e-zines, writing CSS and eventually working to briefs designing exciting sports websites and online shops. This role would best suit someone who is enthusiastic and has a hunger to work creatively. They should be able to work with, and alongside designers, to interpret their vision and be able to not only implement, but also develop aesthetics when necessary.
As well as excelling creatively, with the ability to come up with professional graphic artwork, you should also have a solid understanding of CSS.
Requirements:
- A proven background in online design.
- A unique eye with strong visual design sense, demonstrated through an online portfolio of recent work.
- Excellent attention to detail, with knowledge of web design best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, with the ability to manipulate imagery and copy to produce outstanding optimised web content.
- Solid CSS skills with knowledge of usability, accessibility and cross browser compatibility issues.
- Ability to convert Photoshop mock-ups into clean, optimized CSS code.
- An understanding of UI principals.
- Must be an effective problem solver.
- Good grasp of mobile website design.
- Must have a basic understanding and enthusiasm for sport.
- You must also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships with a team.
The Salary:
A full time, competitive salary, depending on experience and qualifications. We also provide annual performance related bonuses, pension and perks. You will receive a salary review in your first year.
